Why this role exists:

Reporting to the VP of Sales, the Director of Sales will be responsible for developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans to ensure a successful pivot to the API Tech market.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 5+ years of successful software sales experience, with 3+ years of SaaS or other XaaS sales
    • Strong preference for API sales experience
  • Experience in a high-growth startup environment
  • Deep prospecting experience and methodology

Objective Outcomes:

  • You will build your own pipeline of potential customers
  • You will bring product ideas that can be leveraged across many customers to enhance product capabilities, customer happiness and potential additional revenue streams
  • You will be responsible for the development of creative and tenacious sales strategy that targets and penetrates new vertical markets
  • You will implement a top to bottom sales process utilizing modern sales techniques that efficiently manages opportunities from start to finish and consistently ensures revenue that exceeds company goals
  • You will take a very hands on approach to management/deal flow, including shadowing/running sales calls

    • Knowledge of selling API technology to customers in multiple verticals
