Why This Role Exists:

The Operations Manager is a key leadership role that supports headquarters through project management, finance, operations, and administration. This role creates, maintains, and enhances systems and support structures to maximize HQ staff capacity and create a high-performing team. This role helps headquarters achieve quarterly and annual goals so that we can continue to effectively support our beneficiaries and the women we serve.


  • Empowering and equipping leaders within Nomi Network
    • Annual performance reviews for staff
    • Setting agendas and overseeing weekly staff meetings, co-founders meeting
    • Providing team with day to day ongoing support in the office
    • Overseeing and directing project management software in order to monitor and strategizing with staff on top priorities and work habits
    • Supporting President in communications and relationship building with the Board of Directors
  • Securing resources and alliances to further Nomi’s strategic goals
    • Supporting staff and vendors in large scale event planning and management including budgeting, sponsorship, PR/Marketing, ticket sales, program creation
    • Providing oversight, strategy and editing support to staff in developing communications/marketing materials and campaigns on an ongoing basis
  • Building organizational infrastructure to further Nomi’s mission and future work
    • Legal Focus: Building relationships and working collaboratively with paid and pro-bono legal counsel to draft contracts, policies, MOUs, NDAs, etc.
      • Building relationships with risk management and security firms and consultants and creating processes and communications to prepare for security measures
      • Negotiating and managing relationships regularly with insurance providers
      • Research and communicate governance best practices and policies to board
      • Drafting job descriptions for staff and Scope of Work contracts for contractual staff members
      • Overseeing contract and communications with US warehouse
    • HR/Benefits Focus: Overseeing and directing HR and recruitment policies and software
    • Finance Focus: Supporting President and Vice President of Global Initiatives with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and regular audits

Required Skills + Competencies:

  • Minimum 2 years staff management experience

    • Overseeing, attending and supporting volunteer design meetings and work towards excellent products that speak to our customer base
  • Supporting Bookkeeper in strategic efforts
    • Monthly close and reconciliation
    • Audits and filing taxes
    • Regular budgeting and cash flow analysis
    • Implementing financial policies
  • Supporting Sale/Press Manager in strategic efforts
    • Creating strategies for online, direct, wholesale opportunities
    • Supporting holiday sales season and holiday market engagement
    • Regular warehouse management review
