Location: Dallas, TX within driving distance to Letot Center (10505 Denton Drive, Dallas, TX 95220)

Hours: Part-Time, Monday - Friday, mainly evening hours (4-8 hours a week to start)

Comp range: $23 per hour

Nomi Network's mission
Nomi Network’s mission is to end human trafficking by creating pathways to safe employment, empowering women and girls to break cycles of slavery in their families and communities. Nomi Network currently has program operations in India and Cambodia and is launching a program this summer in Dallas, TX.

Our Dallas Workforce Program will serve female youth who are either survivors or at high risk for commercial sexual exploitation. We provide workforce training, work exposure, mentorship, and case management to help girls build a career plan and achieve their goals.

Why this role exists

Nomi Network is seeking a skilled and engaging facilitator to serve as a Workforce Trainer for our Dallas Workforce Program pilot. The Workforce Trainer will be responsible for creating and conducting Nomi Network’s workforce training which addresses financial literacy, job readiness, navigating workplace challenges, confidence-building, and goal setting.

Required Experience

  • Excellent communication and teaching skills
  • Experience working with high risk or disadvantaged populations; experience working with youth or young adults a plus
  • Experience in workforce development
  • Excellent cross-cultural competency skills
  • Excellent EQ and ability to mediate interpersonal conflict
  • Strong integrity and ability to set personal boundaries

Objective Outcomes

  • You will create engaging lessons using Nomi Network’s workforce curriculum
  • You will conduct three to six on-site training sessions each week
  • You will actively manage a classroom as needed to facilitate learning and address disruptions
  • You will implement basic assessments to monitor trainee progress through curriculum
