Why this role exists: Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the Social Media Manager will turn curiosity, biology, the microbiome, and all things health and science into a sparkling conversation for citizen scientists across the Internet (and at the dinner table). Required Experience:

  • Experience managing social media, especially if in an educational / science / health / CPG / wellness or similar space
  • Minimum 2-3+ years experience in social media (open to various levels of experience beyond that)

Objective Outcomes:

  • Strategize, conceptualize, and execute content and storytelling across Seed’s social channels
  • Establish social strategy, defining KPIs and building a roadmap to achieving them
  • Own social calendar in conjunction with marketing, editorial, and the internal team
  • Define community strategy and manage community day-to-day
  • Support influencer and community outreach and activations
  • Support and manage content creation flow with design team
  • Stay up to date with social trends, technologies and algorithm changes - and ideate on creative use cases
  • Weekly, monthly, and quarterly setting of social goals and reporting on them

Hard Skills:

  • Deep knowledge of all tools and related software across multiple channels
  • Strong written skills, especially in the translation of science into education
  • Bonus: photography skills, Photoshop, and/or ability to create awesome GIFs
